Internetq has launched a mobile music store into the mobile services market, offering about a million MP3s, ringtones, java games, screensavers and backgrounds.
Goal
Music Store Application enables users to download content directly to their handsets by simply installing the application to their mobile device. Consumers can now find great quality content: browse, preview and download music and ringtones from today’s most popular artist, screensavers and backgrounds in a great variety of categories and highly-rated downloadable Java mobile phone games.
Procedure
Internetq delivers the solution of Music Store by using the existing infrastructure:
- The Content Aggregator, the center of the mobile value added services chain is a powerful platform that aggregates, manages and distributes content
- The Akazoo Community, which includes authenticating and charging mechanisms
- Alternative billing solutions with premium MO or premium MT.
All these are integrated in an Application Portal using custom-made Internetq libraries for rapid development and integration.
The music store application operates in the following way:
- The provider delivers the content to the Content Aggregator.
- The content is organized and categorized by type.
- The content is offered to affiliates.
- The content is delivered to users
Additionally the music store supports multiple language and country versions and is adapted for almost any type of mobile device.
Time of completion
Using the existing infrastructure the implementation of the mobile application was less than 10 work days.
Duration of Service
The music store application was launched by Internetq on January 2009.
How it works
- Step1: The user downloads the application to his mobile device through a WAP page.
- Step2: The user navigates through the mobile application and browses content by category.
