Mobile offerings have a strong presence in the gaming industry and will continue to lead to billions of revenue for the foreseeable future. According to Gartner, 2015 will see around $112 billion in game spending, and approximately 20 percent of that will be attributed to mobile games.

The most popular and recognizable mobile game in the world today, Angry Birds, will finally make it to the big stage of Facebook. Developer Rovio stated plans to offer its game on Facebook about a year ago.

Facebook has more than 850 million users and is the most visited social network in the world. This merge could be the start of the social network's plan to monetize its website through mobile devices, after its recent IPO registration.

More than 350 million people access Facebook through mobile devices and over the years, Facebook has failed to generate revenue from those billions of visits.

Partnering with Rovio may generate millions for both Facebook and Angry Birds, and users only have to pay a couple of dollars to play the full version of the game, while the basic version is free.
