Background

Vodafone wanted to deepen its relationship with subscribers by offering access to targeted mobile content through a global Vodafone branded app store. Vodafone created the Vodafone 360, a platform hosting a suite of innovative social and media mobile apps and services. To deliver the Vodafone 360 service promise, Vodafone enlisted key application and content partners to provide new social applications.

Idea

InternetQ developed and deployed a widgeted version of our trademarked Akazoo mobile entertainment community, to offer a quick and intuitive access to Akazoo for Vodafone users. Provided as a downloadable application to Vodafone subscribers in Germany, UK, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Ireland and the Netherlands, Akazoo members have instant and continuous access to on-the-go socializing, entertaining mobile content downloads, rating and sharing of content.   

Result

Akazoo’s downloads top the charts on the Vodafone 360 suite of services and provide Vodafone subscribers with a richer experience all tied in to the Vodafone community brand. The Akazoo widget also helps Vodafone offer subscribers the latest in fresh content downloads and fight churn by providing a place where Vodafone subscribers regularly come back to.
