Anniversary Competition Rewards Number One TV Fans

Background

Number One Media Group is one of Turkey’s leading broadcasters, with two music TV channels (NR1 and Fashion1 TV) and two radio stations (NR1 FM and Klas FM) on its roster. Its youth-oriented internet portals and mobile entertainment services draw in a substantial young-at-heart demographic. Number One TV wanted a creative way to celebrate its 10th anniversary, broaden its appeal  and reward its loyal followers.

Idea

InternetQ devised an exciting text2win SMS-based contest offering viewers the chance to compete for targeted prizes including mobile content downloads, shopping sprees and a Mazda car as the grand prize. Launched in May 2008, the 50-day campaign was advertised heavily through the group’s cross-media assets. The grand prize was also on public display at one of Istanbul’s premier shopping centers, attracting hands-on enthusiasm.

Results

Number One’s audience turned out in big numbers, generating excitement for the anniversary celebrations and solidifying the group’s “super-brand” status in the Turkish media market.
