Nick Goes Mobile
Background
Nickelodeon is ranked as the #1 cable channel among kids 2-11 demographics. With kids nowadays growing up with a natural affinity to technology, Nickelodeon Greece sought a partner to deliver its compelling children’s content through the mobile channel.
Idea
Through an exclusive partnership, InternetQ conceived and created a series of mobile real tones, ringtones, wallpapers and java games based on the popular “SpongeBob Squarepants” and “Dora the Explorer” cartoon series. A series of high quality, targeted and fun promotional spots were produced in-house, and aired on the TV channel to prompt parents to respond to a premium short code and provide their children with an enriched Bob Squarepants or Dora the Explorer experience wherever and whenever they go.
Result
In just over a month, InternetQ’s fun mobile services have helped extend Nickelodeon’s programming reach to the mobile channel and provided the network with a lucrative new source of revenue. Moreover, Nickelodeon’s mobile services also provide kids with a deeper engagement with their favorite animated characters and keep the channel image as “The First Kid’s Network” front of mind. Additional mobile services are planned for launch in the near future.
