Bauer Group Sources New Revenue Streams with Experiential Mobile Marketing

The Bauer Media Group is a leading Polish publisher and broadcaster – with 33 print titles, 350 million readers , the biggest national radio station RMF FM and one of the biggest internet portals, Interia. A remarkable 62% of the Polish population reads at least one of Bauer’s print publications.  In 2009, Bauer Media was seeking a new way to engage with their audience in order to maintain its lead in the market.

Idea

InternetQ conceived and launched a series of experiential mobile marketing campaigns and SMS based services for several of Bauer’s print titles and the RMF FM radio station.  These campaigns were set up on our distinctive Mobi-Dialogue platform, making them easy to manage in-house while some of them were also part of our large scale Pusty SMS campaigns. Campaign components included games, competitions, crosswords, direct response, voting and quizzes.

Result

Since 2009, over 55,000 users per month respond to Bauer’s mobile marketing campaigns. These interactions have not only increased audience awareness of Bauer’s print and radio mediums, but have also provided the group with a significant new source of revenue.
