Our Turkish friends rolled out the red carpet.

We celebrated another great year of partnership at Turkcell's 2011 Partners Day event taking place at the İstanbul Sheraton Maslak Ηοtel. 350 Turkcell employees and partners gathered to hear opening remarks from Turkcell’s very own Chief Product and Service Management Officer, Cenk Bayrakdar and a thoughtful analysis of 2010 and exciting strategy analysis of 2011 by Turkcell’s Director of Partnership Management & Corporate Product Development, Ethem Eldem.

InternetQ also added a touch of glamour by sponsoring our regular collaborator, Mike Walsh, to share with the audience with his visionary “Futuretainment” presentation. As always, Mike wowed the crowd with his stories from all around the world; “Just when we started talking about user behavior, collaborating with sociologists & anthropologists and even the possibility of bringing them in house, it has been great to listen to Mike and witness how much value such people could add to our business. What a great show,” remarked Duygu Cibik, Turckell’s B2B VAS Marketing Manager.

We’ll certainly continue utilizing our anthropological localization practices when launching future mobile marketing campaigns to make sure our campaigns hit home with Turkcell’s subscribers. Thank you for a wonderful event and evening of fantastic hospitality and dancing!

Our global footprint spreads East.

Amidst the eye catching skyscrapers of Hong Kong’s skyline, the InternetQ team descended upon the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and wowed the thought leaders and industry insiders at the Mobile Asia Congress (MAC) on November 17th and 18th, 2010. Although a small show in terms of turnout, key players from all over Asia were present at the MAC event and showed great interest in InternetQ’s innovative Super Promotions and Akazoo offerings.

Further highlighting our presence, InternetQ joined leading companies such as China Mobile and Blackberry in sponsoring our very own App Bytes session. Curated by the best-selling author of Futuretainment, Mike Walsh, we presented on “The Future of Mobile Entertainment”; Mike’s anthropological approach to observing how consumers interact with technology drew in a huge crowd and filled the hall to the rim, receiving outstanding feedback as the best session of the entire event.

Hats off for an excellent show and a big pat on the back for the InternetQ team, represented by Panos Dimitropoulos, Kostas Papoutsis, Apostolos Zervos, Ioannis Skaltsas and Maja Lapcevic for giving it their all in what will be just a first taste of the fruits to come in Asia for InternetQ.

Summertime fun for Orange Poland subscribers.

InternetQ paired up once more with Orange Poland to successfully complete the third in a series of blank SMS games. This well-established and popular game got an extra twist of suspense this time, as each day's competition winner went live for a nail-biting draw between a BMW Series 1, Series 3, Series 3 Cabrio and X1 SUV. The sleek promotional TV spots that ran alongside hinted this was all some alien temptation, but really it was just advanced InternetQ technology...

Launching our collaboration with a brainteasing campaign for Play Poland's website.

Play Poland linked up for the first time with InternetQ to set up a small-scale campaign to involve and reward its website visitors to stretch those brain muscles. To win one of three Acer netbooks every day, players competed to reach the top of the daily scoreboard by answering quiz questions via premium SMS on anything from sports and music to geography and trivia. Smart game mechanics prompted players to check their points balance and participate in bonus rounds. To keep players on their toes during the month-long campaign, on three days the prizes included a new Renault Twingo to drive away in. We are pleased to have finished this campaign smoothly, it's a nice way to start.

ŞANS CEP-T2 our first cross-carrier promotion in Turkey.

While preparing for the FIFA World Cup 2010, subscribers of Turkey’s three leading mobile networks, Turkcell, Vodafone and Avea, got to kick off the excitement early. From June, by downloading a mobile wallpaper, users entered a daily draw for a cashcard, a weekly draw for a BMW Series 1, and a final grand prize of a luxury new build apartment in Istanbul. The campaign’s three distinctive TV advertising spots were presented by national darlings Levent Üzümcü and Aysun Kayacı, and linked up with World Cup events for maximum attention.

“It’s the social media intelligence capabilities of the mobile that make it the black gold of the 21st century.”

An international crowd of telecommunications, advertising & media professionals joined us recently at Astir Palace Hotel in Athens to hear from our prominent guest speakers: Tomi Ahonen, the bestselling author on the converging areas of mobile telecoms, internet, media, advertising, banking, social networking & virtual reality, and Mike Walsh, author of ‘Futuretainment’ and expert on consumer behavior and next generation technology.

Walsh presented his bold vision of “Futuretainment”, a world beyond top-down broadcast networks, where people who have never known a world without the Web have now taken charge of how brands are discovered, shared and popularized. Ahonen made a powerful case for the mobile as “the most effective channel to measure audiences”, generating a richer data trace of human behavior than any loyalty card scheme or marketing research survey.

Addressing the audience at the end of a stimulating day, Chairman Panagiotis Dimitropoulos noted: “We are delighted to have the insights of industry trailblazers Walsh and Ahonen showing us the way forward. Mobile engagement is indeed the only way to reap the full benefits that the mobile channel can offers consumers and business partners, and this is where we at InternetQ are focusing our creative energies”.
