SansCepT campaign gets Turkey texting

Turkcell and Internetq complete their latest and biggest SMS campaign.

In just 56 days, nine lucky winners took away E400,000 in prizes: one Mercedes B150 city car per week and the spectacular grand prize of new-build luxury apartment in Istanbul, Turkey's cosmopolitan city. This campaign followed Internetq's proven and successful Mega Promo format, with players earning points towards each draw by texting a short code SMS. Like the bridges linking Istanbul's Asian and European sides, Internetq's systems expertise integrated the game seamlessly with Turkcell's systems, offering added value to the country's largest operator.

An intensive media campaign allocated E1.16m to over 1,500 TV spots featuring the national TV star Jess Molho. To demonstrate the campaign's openness, spots were shown in two waves, with an initial information spot followed by a second showing the actual winners. An additional 17m Turkcell subscribers whose profiles suggested an interest were also engaged with direct SMS invitations to play.
