2009

Exponential growth in the Mega Promotion line of business. Internetq launches 13 mobile operator campaigns across the globe, with the latest one for Beeline Russia achieving the biggest SMS volumes and operator revenues in the industry. The Akazoo platform is rolled out in Poland and Turkey, and continues its growth in Greece.

2008

An expanding international presence in Argentina, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan. Launch of Akazoo.gr as the model for the planned international roll out of a web 2.0 platform that unifies communities across web and mobile. The company secures the first operator-branded sms mega promotion contract.

2007

Establishment of the US subsidiary and link-ups with major US mobile operators for mobile content promotion. A partnership with BET (Black Entertainment Television) is finalised. Blueprints are developed for the Akazoo project, a web/mobile gaming and user generated content platform.

2006

The company expands beyond national borders. Operations in Poland begin with a large-scale sms promotion. The project is acclaimed as one of the biggest revenue drivers of the Polish MVAS industry.

2005

Venture capital financing is secured and NBGI Ventures become a major shareholder in the company. A UK holding company is established. Internetq moves into a mature phase in terms of corporate governance, organizational development and personnel recruitment.

2004

The year finishes with Internetq establishing a solid lead in the Greek MVAS industry. The company generates exceptional revenues from Call TV concepts which at the time are extremely popular on Greek TV.

2003

Internetq markets the first mobile content service in the country. The service is designed to operate primarily through sms dialogues and marks the company’s vision for a unified mobile and digital content platform. The company enters into premium voice services by setting up a complete TTS and ASR IVR platform, to fully support Call TV concepts.

2002

Acquisition of the first mobile value added services short codes. The company effectively creates the MVAS market in Greece by starting to market non operator branded mobile services. These services soon appear throughout the whole spectrum of traditional media (TV, press, radio).

2001

Launch of the first interactive sms service in Greece, in partnership with a leading operator. The success of the project drives management to refocus on mobile value added services.

2000

Internetq is founded by Panagiotis Dimitropoulos and a group of shareholders. The company initially focuses on website design and development.
