Web Designer

Purpose of the Role:

The role is responsible for the flawless and edgy layout, visual appearance and excellent usability of InternetQ services, using graphic design skills and relevant technical knowledge. 

Accountabilities:

• Create interactive deliverables including website and mobile designs, widgets, icons, user interfaces, layouts, illustrations, style guides and presentations.
• Collaborate with other team members to conceptualize innovative designs and contribute to our creative process.
• Research and apply new design trends.
• Responsible for producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has an innovative and user-friendly navigation system and has all the features required.
• Suggest on how images and other material will be digitally optimised and presented for the applications and solutions needed.
• Test the solutions at first level (and from web designer perspective) for its efficiency and possible defaults and suggest solutions.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Graphic Design or new media degree strongly preferred.
• 2 years of related previous work experience.
• Show evidence of "Pixel perfect” deliverables in as little iteration as possible.
• Experience in applying design to web technologies (HTML, CSS etc).
• Strong understanding of information, application design and UX fundamentals.
• Experience in designing social media campaigns.
• Portfolio should have a range of work with varying styles.
• Skills required:
• Experience with image retouching techniques.
• Strong typographic and layout aesthetics.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Second language will be considered a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Flexibility and multi-tasking ability.
• Team working ability and flexibility in covering other members team needs.
• Great interpersonal skills, exhibited internally and externally.

Role other dimensions:

• Role reports to Senior Product Development Engineer.
• Role has regular interface with the rest of the product and development teams.

Flexible working options:

Role needs be able to work under tight dead-lines, especially during peak periods.
